Going back in time
Stambeam remembers every change. You can go back a step, look at an earlier state, or put the whole tree back to an earlier moment.
One step back
Choose Edit, Undo or press Ctrl+Z. You can do that many times in a row, and it works after saving too.
Looking at the history
- 1Open the history
Choose Window, History. For each change you see what changed and when. - 2Look first
Choose View state to see the tree as it was. That is read-only. With Back to now you return. - 3Put it back
Choose Back to here. Stambeam shows how many changes will be reverted and you confirm with Restore. With Ctrl+Z you bring them back.
Snapshots
A snapshot captures the tree as it is now. Make one with File, Make snapshot… and give it a name. Under Window, Snapshots you find them again and can compare them with now or restore them.
Stambeam also makes snapshots itself, for example before an import or a merge.
