Timeline and map

The timeline shows who lived when and what was happening in the world then. The map shows where your family lived.

The timeline

Choose View, Timeline. You see all events of the selected person. Under Scope you choose Life only, Life + 5 years or Whole family.

Under Historical layers you turn events on or off, such as wars, epidemics, disasters and the royal house. Context in words writes it out, for example how old someone was when something happened.

The map

    Open the map
    Choose View, Map (or the globe).
  2. 2
    Choose who and when
    Under Who choose the whole tree, or the ancestors or descendants of a person, and under Period the years.
  3. 3
    Places without a position
    If a place has no position yet, it is listed under Not on the map yet. Pick the right spot there yourself.
